Malcom X once said “The media is the most powerful entity on earth. They have the power to make the innocent guilty and to make the guilty innocent, and that’s power. Because they control the minds of the masses.”
This certainly proved true today, http://tinyurl.com/2b4gak7 .
Rest in peace Ahmed Sharif.
You’re likely to be the match that may have just started a wild fire that didn’t need to be started.

Did it really, really need to come to this?
I don’t think so.
This whole “Ground Zero Mosque” thing is being blown completely out of proportion and is so sad.
Whatever happened to the inscription on the Statue of Liberty?
“Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me.
I lift my lamp beside the golden door.”
At least sixty-two victims of the 9/11 attacks were Muslim according to our records (source: http://islam.about.com/blvictims.htm ), but many, many more remain unknown.
Why can’t we let this rest?
Are we really, really becoming that fearful? If so, it makes me sad.

Things are not what they used to be. Cliche? Yes, but true in comment about the Statue.
