So I’ve gone and done it.

Done what exactly?

I got myself addicted to Halo 3.

Strange as it may seem, despite all of my rantings and ravings about how the Halo series is a “sub-par” shooter for a console system, I took the time to rent it because I need time to burn while I either A: get a job, or B (the more likely scenario) : Wait until the completely paid off Grand Theft Auto 4 comes out.

Now here’s the thing. Why did I rent it? Because It’s the second, or third most played game on Xbox Live.

Did I mention I’m back on XBox Live? Yeah, Grand Theft Auto 4’s up and coming Multiplayer mode made me decide to get back on Live other than the regular old Silver account.

Anyway.. Being the second or third most played game on XBox Live (the current “most played” being Call of Duty 4 which I already own on the PC, so I didn’t see any point in renting it), I figured it’d be something fun to play… strange as it may seem, I’ve met quite a few people who actually like playing the game with me, and enjoy my company. I rather enjoy their company too.

So, I’m issuing a formal apology to Bungie software.. your series is not a “sub-par” shooter for consoles. It’s a shooter done right. There I said it.. everyone happy? It’s a console shooter that was done completely and one hundred percent right, from the ability to mute the obnoxious twelve year olds, to the people who use unnecessary language just because they think it’s “cool”, to the match-making client side.

I’ve gotten to the point where I’ve done price checking around to see how much I can get the game for, and surprisingly, the cheapest I can get it is at a local rental store, as opposed to an actual game store.

Strange.. isn’t it?

By the way, if you’d like my Xbox Live tag, feel free to add me, AndrewX4, just mention that you got my name via my Blog, and I’ll accept immediately.

Anyway, other updates.

I’m not sick anymore, thank whatever deity you may choose to believe in.

I’ve started the extremely complex process of starting house work for Spring. That includes, raking out all the leaves, putting them in trash bags, carrying them to the curb, and then working on prepping the ground for the garden I think I’m going to try having. ( Fresh tomatoes anyone?.. Sorry, I’ve been fond of them since my grand-ma used to grow them fresh in her garden.. ) Also prepping the backyard for whatever I may do in the Spring out there. I love my little back yard. It’s just big enough for a picnic table of some sort, a grill, perhaps a hammock, and a tiny little garden.

Everything in this house is sized just about right for a guy my size (I’m 5′6 1/2.. and I’ve not grown an inch since my freshman year in high school.)..

Anyway, other than that, I’m currently working my way through Planet Simpson: How a Cartoon Masterpiece Documented an Era and Defined a Generation by Chris Turner. I finished Barack Obama’s book, The Audacity of Hope: Thoughts on Reclaiming the American Dream, and I’ve pretty much decided that Obama is my candidate, but I knew that before hand…

Other than that, I’m still striving to clean my house up and make it look nice, but as I’ve said many many times before, I’m not that good at cleaning. I never have been, I don’t think I ever will be.. but at least my kitchen is looking better.

Anyway, I was told I needed to update by a very good friend of mine, so this should be adequate, and if it’s not, tough cookies. They’ll have to wait until the next major update. :)
