Pretty good haul this year.

I’m really happy with what I got this year for Christmas.

The haul is as follows;

A light tree so that I can have light in my living room.
(Finally .. no more bumbling around like a bum in the dark in my house’s living room after dark.)
A set of burnable DVDs and CD-ROMs.. I’m sure I’ll find a use for them..
A whole bunch of collapsable Tupperware containers, so that I can clean my kitchen up and it doesn’t look like a war was fought using Tupperware as WMDs..
A very, very nice fleece monogramed sweater (conventional monograming is a bit odd.. I had no idea they put the first initial, then the last initial, then your middle. So mine is like: ABD. Very strange.).. I’m wearing that right now because it’s so comfortable. It’ll probably become my favorite thing to wear when I get cold.

The ‘big gift’ for me this year though, is probably something I asked for, for about six months..

An Apple Airport. I can now listen to Pandora.com with my house receiver, which will make listening to music really nice and surround my whole house. On top of that, I can use it to connect my Wii to the internet without having to wire it to the router that Kurt got me for my Christmas/Birthday, which means I free up a port on the router as well.

Anyway, my dessert is melting (ice cream with pie), so I need to close this blog off.

Everyone have a great night..

I’ll update tomorrow with my stocking haul.

Happy Holidays everyone.

Right, so I’ve not written for almost four weeks.

My apologies.

I’ve been really busy getting things moved in to the new house, and been sorting out what I need and what I don’t. Other than that, I’ve not been doing much. It’s really interesting being a first time home owner because there is so much to do.

As far as a little update is concerned: I’m completely moved in, and I’ve still got boxes to unpack and things to sort, but I need to finish with the typical repairs.

Right now, I have an issue where my cold water doesn’t work on my bath, but it works just fine on my shower (yes, they’re tubed differently in the inner workings of the house), what this means for me is a call to the house-insurance coverage, and see if they cover it. However, when I did what I just mentioned, they told me they don’t. So, I have to pay to have it fixed, either that or take the insurance coverage people to court because it’s something from the inner workings of the house that the insurance plan is supposed to cover. Yay for that. So coming up in the next few days, I have a plumbing crew coming to fix that, and another issue: My kitchen has one of the slowest flowing systems of water I’ve ever seen. While it’s not quite a drip, and it’s a steady flow, it’s still really slow. The other thing the kitchen has thats wrong is that the hot water takes forever, (at least 30-40 minutes) to get there. It makes washing dishes damn near impossible unless I take them into the main bathroom’s sink.. where I shouldn’t have to wash dishes.

Anyway.. As I’ve been saying.. being a house owner is very interesting.

As far as Christmas things, I set up a 4 1/2 foot pre-lit tree in the house’s sun room and have left it on since I bought it. It brings quite a bit of cheer to the otherwise (still) empty sun room.

I’ll be finishing up unboxing and sorting everything soon.. I hope. If not, I’ll probably just toss stuff in the basement and go through it when I need stuff. I found all my clothes and everything else major, but I’m not sure what’s packed away in what boxes..

I thought everyone might like an update.. :)

I’ll update more tomorrow or Tuesday when I find out what my haul for this years Christmas is.. my main gifts are the house and the new cell phone, or so dad keeps saying.. if that’s the case, I’m okay. I have high hopes for another pair of jeans because my blue jeans are getting shot..
