Random boredom ..

I have something I needed to figure out, and since I was bored, I figured why not..

Here’s what it is:

According to this link, if the Bush administration gets more funding for their little (?) war, the total cost of the war will be $611.5 billion dollars.

Taking this information, I went to my favorite online candy store , and looked up my favorite candy bar (Snickers). Just to take things to the extreme edge of things, I found a box of 48 for sale, for $29.95. Swanky .. 48 Snickers for $29.95.. sounds like a good deal to me.

Anyway, after that information, I took 611.5000000000 (the total cost of the war), and divided it by 29.95 (the cost of 48 Snickers per box) (hypothetically saying that there would be no shipping and handling because I bought them in ‘bulk’..), which gave me a nice round number of 20.4173623 .

After this I took the 20.4173623 and multiplied it by 48, because there are 48 Snickers in every single box.

This gave me a grand total of 980.03339 … basically this means 980 billion Snickers bars.

To take this a step further.. the world population clock, says as of today, at 20:40 GMT (EST+5), there are 6,630,742,144 people on Earth.

There would be more Snickers on Earth, than there would be people.
