This Old House - Barker Edition.

So, it’s begun.

I’ve started transferring my stuff from my apartment to my new house.

While this is overwhelming and a unique experience, because as I’ve stated in a previous journal that I’ve been living in the same place for seven years, it’s ultimately very, very rewarding.

As far as what is going on with the house, my mother and I’ve begun to systematically paint almost every single room in the house, and give them a new “feel”, and the house looks so much warmer and friendly compared to the dull whites and browns that were in the rooms before. The bathroom is probably the most poignant change. While I know that I’m rattling on about all these changes and I haven’t let you (the reader) see any of the changes, fear not, there will be a link at the end of this journal. :)

My best friend Kurt and I are going to start packing up all of my stuff on Tuesday (10/16/07) and drive it over to the house and put it up in storage so that we can get me actually moved in with most of the stuff as well. While we’ll still have to wait for the heavy stuff (27 inch Sony CRT TV, bed, couch and etc) I think we’ll see a big change in the way my apartment looks after we pack up most of the junk I’ve got here.

I’ve also started to do laundry in a prep for the move. It’ll be nice to have good, clean clothing to wear in a good, clean house.

Anyway, I think I’ve rattled on enough about the new house and how the move is going..

I think I’ll actually let you see the house now!
