Woah. New Operating system.

So here I am.. On my computer, and my copy of Vista Ultimate Edition arrives in the mail from a friend who works at Microsoft.

I cautiously look over the packaging and think about it for a bit, and pop in the sixty four bit disk.

Restart my machine, and four minutes later Vista’s logo pops up. Vista takes 15-30 minutes to install.. then I take another four minutes to locate the driver disk that came with my motherboard so I can install my Ethernet Gigabit drivers so I can actually get online and update Vista.

All said and done, the whole procedure took approximately an hour.

Was it as as bad as I thought?

Not really.

Is Vista as bad as everyone makes it out to be?

Surprisingly not. I actually, quite like it. I’m running a desktop that actually checks the time and updates it’self according to what time it is and has a sun or moon according to the time, and moving blades of grass. You can see what it looks like here.

It actually makes it so I don’t have to use a screensaver because my desktop is actually always moving.

So far, I have to say that I’m very impressed with Vista.
