Barker’s Barkings.

Current mood: Excited.

I walked into work today and we had a SIRIUS Sportster SPT-K1 car kit on clearance. I guess they’re deciding to get rid of them or something.. anyways, if you don’t know what it is, it’s satellite radio, commercial free. It looks sorta like this:

It’s over 100 channels of music, and it actually has comedy radio too.

$38 dollars every three months, so about $12 dollars a month..

So what would a guy like me who doesn’t have a car want with such a thing?

Simple. I hooked it up into my bed room window sill and let it absorb the signal usually ment for cars to broad cast into my bedroom with the help of some brand new Edifier M3300 2.1 speakers. They look like this:

They’re just small enough to discretely hide behind my bed’s headboard, yet loud enough to be heard through out my entire house when they’re turned up, if I so choose to turn them up, but if I don’t turn them up all the way, they put out enough sound to just fill my bedroom with whatever type of music/talk radio I feel like listening to.

I’m so excited… Right now I actually have classical blaring in my bedroom, and it’s so beautiful, crisp and clear.. and the awesome thing is, the kit came with a remote, so I can change my music choice all the way from the living room of my apartment, because my house is so small.
