Just an update.

Current mood: Mellow. Mellow.

I’ve been off since last Saturday. Yeah. I know hard to believe. My schedual’s gone down the tubes because according to James they wanted to train the new associate. Mind you Tuesday they wanted me to work, but they didn’t have the hours. So I don’t exactly remember what happened. I know Frank (my assistant manager, and friend) told me that I “ditched them.” which wasn’t exactly true. Oh well.

As for other news, I’ve met someone.

Yeah I know I’ve been saying that an awful lot lately, but I actually physically met this person. Her name is Samantha. I met her at work on Saturday, and we just hit it off to the point where I asked her for her Myspace name, and a night or so later I asked her out and she said yes. We’ve been dating since the 22nd. I have great hopes for this relationship, partly because of the fact that we have so much in common, yet so much different. She also lives one hour and three minutes away (in Michigan City, Indiana). That way we have our “space”, when we need it. How have things been going so far? Quite well, we got off to a rather rocky start I’d rather not detail out, because it makes me upset what happened, but needless to say we continued talking and last night we were up until 5:00 AM talking to one another on MSN Messenger. (Yeah.. My sleep schedual is really messed up if you can’t tell.)

Other than that, I’ve been enjoying City of Villains, Neverwinter Nights: Diamond, and Empire Earth: Platinum edition. I’m also enjoying a little game called GridWars. You can get it here, and be sure to pick up the patch here. GridWars is, well, I don’t know how to put this other than astoudingly addicting. I use control style “Hybrid”, which means I aim with my mouse and move with WASD and use Space Bar for bombs. Now, I won’t spoil the game for you but I think it’s my favorite free game I’ve ever played. It’s super intense, and I love it to bits. The cool thing is, you can buy a 360 controller (as its based on a 360 game) and change your control scheme to Dual Analogue and play that way. :) I highly recommend it.

Anyways, as for what else is new. I’m picking up some new headphones on Thursday. They’re going to be Shure Ec2’s.

They’re earbuds.

They look like this: Shure Ec2s.

Seeing as they usually retail for $109.00, and I can pick them up for $65 (Not including shipping :() because I’m the member of a website thats for audio and iRiver owners, I think thats a pretty good deal. I’m also thinking about picking up a new watch. Paying James back for my new computer will take a second seat this paycheck because I really need new headphones for my iRiver because my old ones are just falling apart. I think he’ll understand. (I hope he will anyway.) The reason I’m so adamant on getting new headphones for my iRiver is because I just recently put a ton of new music on it. I’ve got about nine gig remaining on the player, and I’m really happy with it because now I’m using it with a ton of music on it (remember, my player is 20 gig so that means I’ve used elven gig on it. Eleven gig of music is a ton of music, especially when your interests in music are as wide as mine are. :))

V For Vendetta also came out this week, I might have to wait another two weeks to pick it up, but I think it’d be best I did so anyway. That way the initial hype that the movie is actually out, dies down. It was one of my favorite movies from last year so it’s only logical that I pick it up in the limited edition special edition two disc set. :)

In other news, I’m getting something new to decorate my apartment, for helping a friend through depression and other things. He thought of me when he bought it, but the problem is it won’t be here for 15-20 business days. :(

Here it is:

When it’s off:

NintendoSignOff

When it’s on (and in the dark):

NintendoSignOn

I’m really, really excited about it and I can’t wait to put it up. I’ve got a spot for it all picked out. Granted you can’t see it right when you enter my house, but I think that where I’m going to put it may be a good idea. I’ll talk to one of my friends (kurt) and see what he thinks when it arrives.

Anyways I just thought everyone might like an update..

A rather large update.

Current mood: Extremely Happy. Extremely happy.

As of a few days ago (if you read the previous weblog) I wrote a letter to my district manager discribing some small problems I’ve been having at work. Needless to say, James blackmailed me into saying that we’d talked about it, but I also have the upper hand. I’ve replied to my district manager about it after he replied to me, which happened to be the day after I “discussed things” with James. (More like he said “It’s not good to bite the hand that feeds you.” and I broke down and wrote Jon a letter from work..)

So yeah, if you can’t follow that, I wrote a letter to Jon, Jon didn’t reply. James told me it wasn’t good to bite the hand that feeds, I cracked under the presure, and wrote Jon an apology letter for sending the letter. I however, checked my email today and found a reply from Jon in my inbox.. and took the time to tell him that James had blackmailed me into writing an apology letter. Needless to say I think this may get James in more trouble.

Anyways, on to more gleeful news.

POS2002 (my old computer) is now a shell of what it once was. Indeed. I needed my music. (That’s the only thing I had of “value” on my old PC..) I told Kurt I wanted his help gutting up POS2002 to put it’s 80 gig hard drive into my new machine.

Ok, cut to yesterday after work. Kurt picks me up and we head back to my place after picking up his computer. After we get back to my place, we crank on the AC (as you can tell from the thermometer on the site, it’s been hotter than the 4th teir of Hell here lately) and get to work. Pos2002 was dismantled accordingly and (as of yet) Unamed was brought over. Lets just say this: Compaq makes a case that is like a frigging safe to crack, aside from the easy to pull off cover, it’s like a friggin tank inside. Wires and everything crammed to the fullest extent possible and screws holding God knows what in place. Anyway, after mucking around with it for about an hour, we finally got the new drive in… and everything reconnected. We got several “Clicks of Success” or “Clicks of Satisfaction” as we got to calling them (if you don’t know, when you place things in a computer now, they snap in with a very satisfying “click!”). After that I rehooked up my computer over where it usually goes and turned it on. Lo-and behold it worked… my old drive was alive and kicking once again.. Anyways, after that I dragged all of my music off of the old drive and onto the larger drive. After that was done I formatted the older drive (if you’re having trouble, Pos2002’s old 80 gig was formatted). During the formatting of the older drive, I went to sleep. I didn’t wake up until a few hours later, and then today, I started dragging my music back over to the eighty gigger. I finished shortly before Alyssa signed on, so I’ve got all my music seprated from my main drive. As for names of my drives, I decided on Isis (for my C:\) and Ihy (for the D:\ aka the Music drive). Isis was the Egyptian Goddess of Work and Play (among other things) (all of my “work and play” applications are on C:\) and Ihy was the God of music (D:\ holds all my music). I’m going to name my computer Anubis. (God of the Afterlife), in a bit I think. Makes sense doesn’t it?

I’ve had a thing for Egyptian mythology for a while, but it’s about time I’ve decided to do something about it.

I’ll have a picture of my desktop in one of the next blogs. :)

Other than that, I don’t know what I’m going to today. I think I might play some Empire Earth II: Platinum, but that’s to be decided.

Everyone have a great day/early evening/night.
