Bought a new watch today.

Current mood: Pleased. Pleased.

Yup. Suprise Suprise right?

Not really, I’m obsessed with time, so it only makes sense especially when my old one went defunct.

Now as your aware, I was going to buy headphones.

However when I entered the coupon code to buy my headphones today, they couldn’t find the coupon code, so the headphones were going to be $109. $109 bucks is a bit expensive for my blood. The reason they were so expensive is because the coupon code I was going to enter to get them down to $65 dollars was more than a year old… Oh well. :(. That made me upset, but when I got called into work early (James needed to speak with me about somethings), I decided to look for a new watch instead of headphones.. I’m going to try to get the headphones on my next, or my next next pay check. They’re just too expensive to get right at the moment. Anyways, on to the watch.

As you know I’m incredibly fond of Dakota Watch Company watches. Well, I looked through the selection today and I was reminded of what my friend Kurt and my father both said. “I don’t know why you keep buying such expensive watches when they don’t last.” Needless to say, after about a half hour of looking at the watches in the Dakota Watch Company booth in the mall, I decided not to get a Dakota watch.

I had about an hour and a half left to kill before I was due to clock into work at 4:00, so I walked around to JC Penny, and looked at the selection of Fossil watches. I found one I really liked, however because it was just an analogue face, and it was quite big on my wrist, I decided against it. Then I saw the price. Sticker shock. It was more expensive than the headphones I was going to buy. I think it was because it was one of the self winding watches that work on Michael Faraday’s electrical kenetic rule. You know it has a giant spinning wheel in the middle of the face and the more you move the more electricity it generates, so it never needs a battery kinda deal? Yeah. Anyway, I didn’t get it (obviously). So after that, I walked over to Sears (yeah, I went all over the mall) and started looking at the rather small mens section of watches.

By small I mean it’s half the size of the womens watch section. Anyway I didn’t see anything that really struck my fancy until I looked up in a spinning display case of Casio watches. Casio’s been in the electronics industry since 1957. 49 years. I think thats a good thing when it comes to looking for a dependable watch.

Anyways, they had a section of watches branded with the ‘Waveceptor’ logo. These ‘Waveceptor’ watches are watches that accept the Atomic Watch signal in Fort Collins, Colorado on both their analogue and digital faces. What this means to you and me is that it’s accurate until December 31st 2039 at midnight. If you can’t figure that out.. I’ll be 58 years old by the time this watches dies (if I really keep it that long, or it survives that long). As for the watch I picked out it looks like this:

My New Watch.

They sell for $79.99 retail (as much as my old watch was) and on Casio’s website, but because of the fact that it has a very tiny (almost unnoticable, I mean you really have to look closely at the watch to see it) scratch in it’s face, I got 10% off. I paid a grand total of just $61 for my new watch that I’ll never have to set. Pretty damn good deal. It also as you can see, doesn’t have anything that sticks out near the sides so they can get caught and bashed into things while I’m at work or wearing it. Very nice for me. Over all I’m very happy with it.

Anyways, I got into work at 4:00 and worked until 9:30 tonight. I took “lunch” at 7:00 and had a Vegetarian super sub (without onions of course) on wheat from Frullati and a Fruit Punch Snapple. All and all, it was a pretty damn good meal. I might have it again soon. After “lunch” the store picked up and I worked almost non-stop until 8:40, and then the store died (like usual). So I lounged around and sorted the walls and made sure they were still alphabetized and straight, and by the time I was done with that it was time to go.

Over all it was a pretty pleasing day. I’m very happy with my new watch, and I don’t think I can complain about anything that went on today.

Everyone have a great night.

    Wow!!!!!
You actually listened to what we said. (JK)

But on a serious note like the watch looks good, and sounds like it might last longer than the rest have.

P.S. Off Mon will call you then
