How to begin.

Yesterday, I was looking forward to meeting Annie. I got to her work and met her, and then they sent her on break after a few minutes of my waiting around. While I waited I price checked Joop!, and read various Scholastic things (intented for six year olds and up).. I learned about Sue and how she was the oldest dinosaur and et cetra. Anyways, Annie and I talked on her 15 minute break, and the whole time she had her arms crossed over her chest, in the defensive position. I’m not sure if this means she was being defensive or she was just cold. It didn’t go over as well as I’d hoped, but she seems like a nice girl. I’ll get to know her a bit more and see if she opens up on a day she doesn’t have to worry about being stressed out at her new job.

As for what else I did yesterday, I walked over to Gamestop and chilled out with the guys there for a little bit, and then went home.. I got home by about 3:00. I called my friend Kurt, and unfortunately he didn’t answer (Kurt, if you read this, let me know what happened. I’m assuming you got called into work.).. So the rest of the day was shot to bits, even though it was only 3:00. I wasn’t feeling too hot, so I laid down after talking to one of my friends from Deviantart for a while. I woke up now… yeah. Now. However many hours later it is, I’m awake. I know it’s a new day but I’m still amazed I slept for so long. I feel incredibly ill, and I keep coughing and sneezing. Not to mention my head fills stuffed to the brim. My father will probably say that it’s because my apartment isn’t clean. That might be some of it, but I don’t know.

As for what else is going on in my life, I’ve met someone on PlentyOfFish. Allow me to explain what PoF is, before you start rolling your eyes.

Anyways, I’ve met someone who I didn’t think would respond to my inital note, but suprisingly she did. She’s a sociology major, and she’s quite beautiful. I look forward to corresponding with her more as we get to know each other. I find one thing mildly amusing about her. Her name is Jessica. Yup, another Jessica enters my life. Let’s hope this one treats me better than the last did and doesn’t run off with some guy she’s known online for five years.

I have work today, 1-6PM. I believe I work with James today, pretty much all day. After today I’ve got Saturday and Sunday off, so I’m going to see if I can clean up my apartment some. It might be a good idea. I’m also going to see if my father wants to see Superman this weekend.. seeing as I’ve got it off. I might find out if any of my other friends want to do something.

I’ve not been playing World of Warcraft as much as I used to, but I still play. I’m playing Diablo 2 and Guild Wars: Factions quite a bit lately. Maybe I’m getting tired of my Paladin class in WoW, or maybe I’m just tired of being a human and I can’t wait for the expansion to come out. Who knows, for whatever reason I’ve just stopped playing it as much as I used to. The ‘I’m taking a needed breather break’ doesn’t seem to go over well with my guild, but they seem to be okay with it.

Other than that, nothing is happening.

How do I explain this day?

Ship and Counts today..

What’s that mean? It means I get a list of 1-any number of pages- with a Quanity on Hand, Quantities Shipped, and Quantities Shipping skus and names of games.

Yay.

This means I get to go through the entire store and find cases for games, and compare sku’s to see if they’re the right games (For example.. Rainbow Six 3, has two different versions, and then two different system skus. Ie: Rainbow Six 3: Black Arrow, and the regular Rainbow Six 3, then those both come on PS2 and XBox.).. and then chuck them into a pile. Did I mention sometimes we need multiple copies of the same game? Yup. We also don’t have cases for every game we’ve got. Another fun fact about doing this is the fact that little kids like to destroy the alphabetization of the walls that actually hold our cases? That makes it a lot of fun. Like diving for hidden treasure only to strike dog poo at the end of your shovel.

This pile is then filled with the proper games (which we have to find in our drawer of alphabetical games by system), then compiled into a box. This box (among others) is then shipped out to another store the following day. These stores can be anywhere. I think the farthest I’ve seen a box come from is Detroit..

This whole process takes a helluva long time. It’s not that it takes a while to just do the aforementioned process, but also talking to people if they brought in trades, and ringing them up, and taking reserves. That’s quite a day. Even if it is 2:00-8:00 PM, with a half hour sort of paid break in between.

Anyways, enough about work. Now on to the personal life.

I’ve finally moved on from Jessica. Yeah, it’s about time… right? Well.. I made the stupid mistake of moving on to a girl who’s engaged. Yeah, the girl who’s engaged, says that the guy she’s engaged to, doesn’t talk to her. Hrm. Yes, this is a reason to openly flirt with another guy (the other guy in this case being me). I’ve decided that instead of taking her out to the movie on Saturday like I was thinking I was going to do, I’d ask out someone else who’s been… in and out of my life for a little bit.

Her name is Annie (pronounced Ann).. (Ann and Andy.. Sounds kinda cute doesn’t it?).. I met her through another friends Myspace page, and we started talking quite a bit tonight on AIM.. and I finally broke down and said it:

Me: You + Me + Movie of your choice = Date?

The response:

Her:
Her: we could do that

Yeah, as you can see, she accepted my invite. We haven’t planned a date yet because she just got a job, ironically enough, it’s at a place right on the bus route… so I can visit her any time I feel like going in and seeing her. That’s exactly what I’m going to do too.. later today (it is Thursday after all.. I started writing this when I got home on Wendsday night)..

She seems incredibly friendly, nice, and she’s got awesome taste in music. I think things will go well with this one, the big bonus with this one is the fact she’s not already taken by some other guy. *Laughing* :D.

Kurt and I were going to go see Superman tonight, so were my father and I but when Dad came and picked me up at work, he was too tired and dirty (he was working on the yard all day), and so was I, so we just skipped it. When Kurt came over, we went over to Steak And Shake (I had a Mello Yello and a Sprite in a futile attempt to wake up, and that’s all), and he ate.. When we got to the theater, it was closed. Apparently they decided not to do another midnight showing.

Oh well.

I’ll write what happens when I meet Annie tomorrow when I get the chance to update.. I’ll also give my review of Superman if my dad and I go see it after he gets off work. (Or if Kurt and I go see it…. Depending on who takes me to see it first.) (All this is dependant upon if I feel like writing a review.)..
