Barker’s Barkings.

Jessica and I aren’t together anymore.

As of the 15th, she ended things. Why? Because according to her, she had too much stress to deal with, being in school. Yes, I’m upset, depressed, and very unhappy about it, but I think (read: I hope) I’ll be okay.

As for what else is going on, I’ve got 21 hours this coming week.

Sun: 11-6:30 Mon: 10:30-1:30 Tues: 10:30-1:30 Fri: 5-9:30
Sat: 10:30-1:30

What this means for me is that I’ve got more money coming toward my new computer.

I’ll have it soon enough.

I know that I’m going to have at least one gig of ram in my new machine, but other than that, I’m not sure what I’m going to have in it. Adam says I get to pick the case and everything else. As for cases, here is what I have picked out.

As for motherboard, I’ve picked out an AMD processor. Aside from that, Adam is going to be building it. I’m going to try to get him to put a rather large-ish hard drive in for Windows XP Pro to run on, then I’m going to install two other drives I’m going to buy off my buddy Kurt. He’s going to sell me two 200 gig hard drives. That’s an additional 400 gig of space for games and applications. I’ve got the idea to have my computer setup like this: C:\ - Operating System D:\ - Applications E:\ - Games and then the other drive being the DVD-Burner.

As for tradition, I’m going to name my new computer. The computer I’m currently on is named POS2002. It means what you think it means, except for the 2002. 2002 is the year I built this machine. I’m probably going to turn it into a music machine, but I might format it and sell it to Jessica, even though she and I ‘went our seperate ways’ (read: We’re still friends and I love her more than anything, but I’ve gotta wait until she’s out of school to ask her out again… :()..

As for the new machine’s name…

Moirae.

What is ‘Moirae’?

The Fates, or Moirae, were the goddesses who controlled the destiny of everyone from the time they were born to the time they died. They were: Clotho, the spinner, who spun the thread of a person’s life, Lachesis, the apportioner, who decided how much time was to be allowed each person, and Atropos, the inevitable, who cut the thread when you were supposed to die.

I’ve decided that Clotho, will be the Windows XP drive, Lachesis will be my games & music drive, and Atropos, will be the Applications drive.

If you think about it, Window’s spins a tangled web in order for everything else to work, which is why it’s drive will be named Clotho, Lachesis, being the one who decideds how much time a person has on earth, it also, will be the one who determines how much of my life I will be playing games and music. Atropos, being the ‘death’ bringer, aka Work and Applications.

Makes a bit of sense if you give some thought to it.

I still feel awful. Whatever I’ve got is kicking my butt. I admit I’m getting better.. or at least .. I think I am. Why do I think I’m getting better? Because whenever I sneeze, or blow mucus out of my nose, it’s now clear, instead of a really icky yellow color. I however, still remain to be stuffed to the gills and can barely breath. By barely breath, I mean that I’m constantly breathing through my mouth now because I breath in snot when breathing through my nose. It sucks.

Today was an incredibly slow day. It was Jessica and I’s 4 month anniversery, even though it didn’t feel like it because she was busy with her company all day, and she also figured I’d be work until 5:00 tonight. It’ll feel like it on Thursday or Friday, because I’ve called those days off to be with her when her company isn’t around.

As for calling off work, I called off work today at 8:10, and slept until like 2:00 in the afternoon, after that I played World of Warcraft until 5:00, when Jessica and her friend Doug picked me up for a movie. The movie, was Date Movie. My advice: Avoid ‘Date Movie’ like it’s the Bubonic Plague on Steroids. It’s just that bad.

As for the rest of the night.. I just had dinner, a salad with three types of cheese, and raspberry yogurt, with a bit of ham on top. It was rather tasty. I think I might go grab another stick of cheese and eat it for dessert.. but other than that, that was my dinner. I’m probably going to watch the History channel or something else all night long as I play World of Warcraft until 10:00. I’m also going to do laundry. After that, I’m probably going to goto bed and sleep until 8:00, wake up and goto work..
