Barker’s Barkings.

So a few days ago I walked into Finishline (it’s a sports shoes/whatever retailer) because they had a sign up that said they were hiring.

If you’ve been talking to me lately, you know that my hours at EB have been cut dramatically because of the post season. I tried for another job at a coffee shop in the mall but, they never called me back. So I walked into Finishline, and talked to the manager, and he said that if you apply for an Assistant Manager (me? An Assistant Manager? woah.) position, theres a chance you could get 20-30 hours a week. That’s exactly what I’d like as a second job. Plus, I’d get to keep EB. I’m going to talk to both jobs (if I land the Finishline job), and see if they can work around my schedual. It may be a problem because one of my co-workeers at EB was fired and they’re bumping my hours back up until they find another keyholder (I can’t be a key until I have a car.. unless I actually talk to James and see what he says.) If I can convince him I can be a keyholder, I’ll keep EB and quit Finishline. Not sure how things will work there but I’m excited to see what happens with this.

If I get both jobs, I’ll finally have a bunch of cash being pulled in, and my father won’t have much to say because I’ll finally be working the hours he wants me to work.

Theres a problem with working two jobs though: Not enough time to talk to Jessica. She brought this up.. I’ll make time to talk to her. I love her more than anything and I’ll do anything to keep her happy.

Speaking of Jessica, her birthday is on Febuary 3rd (She’s going to be 19) and I have no idea what to get her. This is the first time I’ve really been anticipating a significant other’s birthday, so I’m getting all flusterbusted as to what to get her.

Happy birthday to me.

Yup. 25 today.

I guess I’ve officially achived ‘old’ status. Even if everyone considers me young.. I know Jessica still will call me old. We’ve got six years seperating us.. we were laughing about it last night on the telephone.

So what’s happened today?

Nothing.

Well.. okay.. I lie. I woke up at 2:52, found Shadow curled up into a little ball next to my chest (he kept me company all last night too), and logged on to Animal Crossing. One of the characters gave me a birthday cake (I suppose you could say it was my birthday gift..), with a piece out of it.. Worked on Jessica and I’s house in the game a bit more. Walked into my living room and watched the rest of Dead Zone Season 1, which Kurt and I picked up last night at 8:40, and drank a few Cream Soda and Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Ice Cream floats.. and talked to my brother on AIM.

What’s next? Probably more of the same, watch DVDs (Please Teacher this time, one of my favorite animes which Kurt got me for my birthday (note: it contains no nudity or anything like that.. It’s just a sweet romantic story.). I’m still trying to find the other Anime I love to death, Love Hina (a complete set).) and relax in my computer chair or couch. After that .. probably talk to Jessica when she wakes up and have a Killian’s Irish Red to celebrate my birthday all by myself.

I’m probably going to call Kurt later, but I’m not too sure.
